Never hunted pigs before, just looking for some advise on cache creel area or indian valley res. Here about it but never stepped foot around there nor know how the pig hunting is as far as population and sucsess.
Cache Creek burned big time over the summer, its probably a bit too early for any pigs that might normally be in there to be back in any sort of numbers. That might have helped indian valley area but I havent been there in a while so I couldnt say. Both are pretty tough areas.
Me and a buddy have been hitting the Indian valley side for months, since beginning of summer for nada.during summer we saw some signs of pigs along walker ridge but now we don't see much.talked with the game warden up there and he said he could count on one hand how many pigs he's seen come outta there.he said there on the private property along bear valley which is leased out to a disabled vet organization,we asked a few ranchers and they said the same.indian valley is so thick with brush it's ridiculous, you would need to run some dogs and that would still be tough.6 months and we've seen two pigs and both have been on private property.weve came to the conclusion we will be calling a guide to fill our tags
