Welcome back! Thank's Jesses.

We will be helping one of JHO'ers Lt Dan on his cow elk.
The old gang still there, gonna tell them you said hi. give me a call.

Sorry XD for not visiting the site as much. Been busy with the in-laws visiting from 'ol country. In fact, I had a rescue mission with my trusty 4x4runner when they got stranded in the snow at Lake Arrowhead last weekend.

Sorry for the hijack. Any success on the cow elk?

Boys,

I think that for the amount of time you guys are willing to put in for dismal chances you would be better served driving up a few hours more to the north end of sonoma county and into mendocino. Try craigslisting on the bay area
I see guided pigs all the time from 350 -500, with group discounts given. When I lived in South Pasadena I used to make it door to door in 4 and half hours from Santa Rosa. I drove a stupid twenty year old but if you leave really early the drive isn't so long. Make a weekend out of it and if you got a Suburban load of JHO hunters you could probably bargain down to three hundred per gun. Sure beats rolling the dice on the public hunts from what I can tell. I'll bet monterey has the same thing going for it.

Any land with pigs gets monopolized by guides who pay the landowners a cut to exclude everybody else. I wish it were like Texas where they are so overpopulated that hunters are welcomed to hunt private land. It's alittle too pricey for me, that's why I stick to other game. I have spent too many hours at Lake Sonoma seeing tons of sign but ZERO pigs. I hear the stories of sightings, but I hear of people winning the lottery too.

The End, By Bill
