I guided a hunt over the weekend. All in all, four pigs down. The guys asked me to post a thread-- & I don't mind the press! Here are a couple pictures of the gang.

These pigs are at it again, wallowing in the mud dag nabbit...

Our Friday hunt was pretty fruitful. Here's Ed with a sow.

The sow looked like it had been beat up! The sow's ears were cut up, perhaps by a boar's tusks?

Good thing justice was served... We found this boar nearby. This boar is suspected of the sow domestic violence.

More pictures are coming!

Good hunting once again! The same punishment should be accountable for humans.

Yo Erik: Glad to see the pigs are still hanging around. I'm amazed how green that wallow area still looks. You must have gotten some water somewhere. I'm have to hold off on the hog hunting. Went tuna fishing with our group out of San Diego and plugged the freezer with tuna fillets. Fishing in offshore US waters, we brought 110 tuna over the rail and they went from 25-100 lbs. It was freakin hard work. And I've got two more fishing trips with the group this summer and have processed the four deer from Catalina. I'm definitely in "Freezer Trouble".

Best to you and yours.

@asaxon, those are some pig-sized fish! The cowboy you met, Stu, has been asking when you're coming back so you can bring him some lobster. Lol.

Is that an R25?

Not sure. If any of the guys who hunted with me want to chime in, feel free.

Is that a headshot on that boar?

I see lots of adobo and sinigang in their future.

I almost forgot to post the rest of the pics. All in all we harvest four hogs that weekend.

Below, I post the fourth and final hog picture. We were perched with my truck on a hilltop overlooking what I call "Pig Valley." Hey asaxon, if you are still following this thread, that's where you coined the phrase "pig eruption." These days we aren't seeing the 20-30 pigs you pushed out of the brush on that fateful day, but perching on these hilltops has still been fruitful recently. In this case, it was one lone sow running by itself. Little did it know a sniper was perched atop the hill.

Overall it was a good weekend, with four pigs down. Thanks to the guys for leaving me some pork in the fridge--much appreciated. It was a pleasure guiding you guys.

Not sure if that one boar was a headshot! I lost track.

Awesome pictures Eric. If you weren't already booked up for the year, I'd jump on the bandwagon too.

@ Bruce yes that's an R25 and Nate, yup Rey took that boar down with. Single head shot. It was on the run too. I don't think he's a member of JHO. He looks at posts from time to time.

First I should apologize to my friend Erik for distorting his thread but I just wanted to show him why I'm not coming up to chase pigs with him anytime soon.

The boat is the Apollo, now out of Seaforth Landing. It is owned/skipped by Jodie Morgan. The boat is fully chartered all fishing season - they don't run any open boats. Our second trip was just as productive as the first. The grade of Blue Fin tuna this summer has been the best I've seen in 20 years.
