I went with a friend to his ranch on the Texas/Mexico border. We saw a lot of pigs, deer, and dove. Here are some feral hogs and javelinas from one morning.

Do they put grain/food out in the roadbeds there or do the critters just naturally come out and feed in those lanes?

Kentuck. The wildlife do come out naturally, and the road is corned sometimes (tailgate feeder). These roads are bull-dozed a couple times a year, and tender-fresh vegetation will grow in the upturned earth. This road was corned the day before. I'm not sure if they are going after the corn remnants, vegetation, or both.

Montgomery County is near Houston. The terrain in that pic is from S. Texas. At least 250 miles apart.
