I was at Los Altos just this past Sunday and there was a little forkie poking his head out of the bushes behind the 100 yard berm a couple times mid-morning. Silly deer... but not once did it cross my mind to cap him (nor would it had it been in season and I had a general A-zone tag).Originally posted by Rancho Loco@Nov 7 2005, 05:31 PM
On a similar note, I've seen deer browsing on the hill just above the 100yd. range at Los Altos Rod & Gun Club during live fire.
On a slightly different note... in my 20x scope on Sunday I could easilly see horse flies land on my target... three times I opted to screw up my nice tight groups and shoot at the fly as it was wandering around on my target... I'm pretty sure I hit one of them. Having a rifle capable of actually shooting a horsefly from 100 yards is pretty cool!
p.s. The guy that shot the pig at the SJ range is a jackass on many levels and deserves to have the book thrown at him and lose his hunting license for a year or two.
