From the California

WILDLIFE TRIVIA QUESTION of the WEEK:
Wild pigs cause heavy damage to California lands, especially because:

(a.) Many weed seeds stick to their skin, and get "planted" when they fall under their hooves.

(b.) They eat beneficial insects and slugs, leaving more harmful insects alone.

(c.) They knock over small trees and shrubs while trying to rub their backs against them.

(d.) They uproot many native plants with their tusks, allowing weeds to take over.

(e.) They like to eat wild truffles, and dig everywhere to find them.

(f.) Bacon Raves: wild pig parties in which they overindulge in edible flowers and seeds, dance irresponsibly and trample large areas.

Answer: BLM-California - News.bytes has the latest information about your public lands :hog chewing:

It can't be d hogs don't root with their tusk, and this info is out to the public. I can't believe that is in print by someone who is supposed to be an expert. I would say that person has little or no experience with the species.

None of the above. Anybody who knows anything, knows there are no wild pigs on BLM land:bounce-aqua:

Sancho and I have actually seen the aftermath from a bacon rave at the Cooley Ranch.
We actually named the spot "The Disco".
