i do not re call were i read about ppl hunting on ranch land and DFG having sum kind of program to protect the land owner if the hunter is hurt. I belive it said that as long as the land/ranch owner dose not charge u a fee... thay hae sum kind of program help if sumone is hurt.

I will look for more info on this. But if this is true and ppl know land owners who say u cant hunt cuz of liabilty mayb this could help out. Just a thought. mayb it can help.. if its true.

Hate to bring up an old thread but didn't think this was worth starting a new one. Anyone have coords or anything for China camp? I can find chews ridge just fine on a map and on Google earth, but I can't for the life of me find China camp

So in California if a landowner invites a bunch of her buddies to hunt her property for free, and someone on the property is paralyzed in a coma from a gunshot wound, the DFG has a program to protect the landowner from being sued? Or, the DFG will pay the medical bills? Sounds doubtful. What are the details? What is the DFG program called?

Haha correct me if I'm wrong but after reading the DFG SHARE website I don't think it works like that...

After you put the land in the SHARE program, they raffle it off. If a neighbor or friend asks to hunt, they have to hope to be drawn like everyone else. Chances are I would never see you lol.

Doe's the NRA still have it's sportsman liability policy ? Used to be if you were an active NRA member the landowner was covered up to I think a million $
