Used to live at the base of Mt Diablo in Clayton. Not long ago some hogs started coming off the park and rooting the green belt that runs through the neighborhood up. Some trappers came in and took care of the park hogs. The hills outside Clayton are getting some nice hog numbers now. Have friends that owned a ranch there for years. They sold it in the late 80's and the new owner parceled it out. One of the folks that lives there now told my friends they see hogs quite regularly now. Figures, after they sell the place.

Yupp, when the pigs show up in most of the State and regional parks, the trappers aren't far behind. Looks like they're putting a dent in them here in the East Bay, up in Garin Park again.

Used to think I would enjoy getting into some of that management work, but I don't wanna do trapping or eradication. I wanna hunt.
