Holly "Norcal Cazadora" has an ad for skull beetling on her blogsite, check her out. I think her Mom does it...but I could be wrong.
She's in the Sacto area.

Congrats on the pig! I really hope to get one like that soon....I did too expierence the oak. I got a bad case of poison oak from the san diego river drainage (i just put up some pics in my albums) the doc has me taking predisone 20mg 4 times a day, and a medicated cream. I tried everthing from Tecnu to florasone....nothing worked. But the predisone seems to be kicking its butt....

The predisone helped, but it had me wired for sound... for 5 days I felt like a pinball machine, running from one project to the other. Sunday was the 14th day from the outbreak and the itching finally stopped yesterday.

Yeah, about 10% of people given prednisone get really irritable, excitable etc. I always tell them the good news about that, you can be a real A$$hole to people and say, "Oh, it's not me, it's the prednisone"...

But some on JHO know what you are really like. No getting away from it.

Hope you and yours are well - Andy

Call the Vandenberg AFB Commander's Action Line at 805 606 7850. Express your concerns about the length of the closure. This was suggested to me just now by VAFB Fish and Game. I will call and have a couple of my hunting buds up here call too.

It's all gone, but it still itch's a bit, could be just dry skin though. It took 15 days. That sucked. Wearing gaiters from here on out.

That doesn't work. What does is: STAY OUT OF THE POISON OAK!!!! You know; that plant with the shiny leaves, some of 'em with a read tint? That's the one.

Repeat after me: "I won't shoot hogs in the poison oak. I won't shoot hogs in the poison oak. I WON'T shoot hogs in the poison oak. etc."

Dan congrats on a great hog!

There is absolutely no reason to get poison oak anymore. I've been using Tecnu after known contact for years and it works great. It's a bit pricy if you buy it in the drug store but online it's not bad at all. About $20 for a 32oz jug. Trust me, it works.

Thank you!

Was wondering what happened to you! Welcome back Sir! And congratulations to you and yours for a job well done!

Lesson learned in ref to Technu. Bought some AFTER I got home. It's part of my gear from now on, in addition to the gaiters. Honestly, If my pants legs hadn't ridden up going down the cliff, I wouldn't have had a problem. Didn't get any on the hands or face, just the legs.

Nice to see you back and hope to run into you in the field.
