[attachment=44535:83020075...igs_2007.jpg]Went on our annual pigathon last weekend and I would like to congratulate HeavyHorns on his harvest.I'm not going to post his story, but I will just say we had two down and two misses and a hell of a good time. Two rifle hunters and two of us shooting pistols.I'll post a little tid-bit of a picture and let HeavyHorns post the rest of the pics.....(Sorry, for the pic, somebody hung it upside down)

Sorry for the delay. Here are a brief story and pics.

It was 7:00 am Saturday morning and I was heading down the hill along the river when my eye caught movement to the right. The big boy just finished grabbing his morning water and heading back up the hill to his bed. By the time I got out of the jeep and put my rifle on the sticks, he was 200 yards exactly. I put the crosshairs right on his shoulder and squeezed the trigger. He folded like a ton of bricks...didn't squeal or make a sound. Fortunately, he rolled down the hill 40 yards which made for easy recovery. His live weight was 300 lbs and when I got him to the butcher, he was 145 lbs hanging meat (minus head, intrails, and hide).

Nice hog, good character to him: are you going to have him mounted?

No...I took the hide off the skull and wired it up to a tree to let the critters clean it. My buddy is heading back up there to deer hunt in a couple of weeks and he is going to bring it back to me. I will then boil it out.
