Porro Binocular advice

Ok guys I need your advice. I am looking to buy a pair of 8x40 porro prism binocs. My limit is $150 and would like waterproof and long eye relief as I wear glasses. The two pairs I am leaning toward are the wind river mesa and the pentax pcf wp both are about the same $ with the Wind rivers about $20 more when you figure in the pentax rebate. So any opinions on these two or any others to add to the list?

Both are decent Porros, but if you have to choose between the 2, I'd go with the Wind Rivers. The glass is a tad higher in quality.

I had a pair of Pentax PCF 10x50's and they were alright. The one thing that I didn't like about them is that they were very blurry around the edge of field of view. Just based on what I have heard about the wind rivers, I would probably get them if I were in your situation.

I have a pair of Leupold Wind river 10X50's porros. I really like them they are very bright , clear and water proof. The only problem is when it's really dark and you can see the deer with the binos, when it's too late/ early to shoot them.

I am very satisfied with them, They are a little bit heavy hanging around your neck all day. maybe I'll get a harness for them soon.

I like big the big objective lens. I think is worth the weight. I don't back pack very often
. I'm usually a mile or two from the truck. I got mine on Ebay for $153 + shipping two years ago from a reputable company and they were new in a factory sealed box.

I have a pair of 8x40 Wind Rivers. For the price, you can't beat 'em. Great light transmission and clear to the edges with minimal distortion (I don't see any, actually. I just take it on faith there is some). The image is a little flat sometimes.
