Just so we're clear, I asked both sides to cease fire in the pizzin contest over the maps and X zone info being posted. Those that refused to stop got suspended and or banned. Sorry to hear you got the boot Map from the other place.

Let's try and respect each others opinions on this and leave out the peeing contest and nastiness.

Thank you

Jesse,

Remember that we have to hunt along side the guys who you gave the boot. After being slammed down like that they are probably unstable. Probably still gunning for us, too? I have hunted up there since 1968, and this is the first year that I had to carry a backup. Sorry for all the problems I caused.

map, if they vandalize your truck just have them arrested. It's a shame someone was talking about your truck like that. That's what losers and cowards do, they won't face you in person, they do like PETA and antihunters and damage your property when no one is looking. Then they want to shake your hand in public so no one knows what they are really about. I have one loser fan who runs around on the Internet registering under my name to create problems. The other admins just delete the accounts. Imagine having no life and that's what your enjoyment is each day. Really sad if you think about it. As one buddy who had his JHO sticker vandalized on his truck by one of the losers said, "they need to get a life".

The one loser drops by this forum every once in awhile, under an anonymous name of course, to post his handywork. Guess what his name is? How mentally screwed up do you have to be to vandalize someone's truck that's not even involved?

P.S. If anyone needs a sticker or gets their defaced by the losers just contact me for a sticker. If you don't want to take a chance I understand completely. Bullies can be intimidating sometimes.

So people disagreed about posting exact spots online and now someone is packing a backup weapon to deal with this, am I reading this correctly? So these anti-mappers are so much to deal with that the rifle you are carrying isn't enough, are you freaking serious?

I would have thought that the yetti's, ancient spirits of sheep herders, and rocks making sparks being rolled down canyons would have been scary enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is both hilarious, and damn scary. I recommend a long weekend of campfire songs and maybe a good bottle of wine and the most recent Daniele Steele book, works for my wife.

So bearclaw just curious, if someone suggests they put a round across your bow where you live, what would you do? No one recommended reading Daniel Steele at the time, not even the cop that investigated the threat.

Some of the folks here have gotten way more out of proportion than just a simple disagreement over posting maps and honey holes. The shot across the bow did not involve this current issue but just shows you how wack some folks are.

Is any of this really necessary? It's more like tactics the antis use to intimidate us hunters. What say we just agree to disagree and go back to talking hunting. No need to harass someone just because you don't like them or disagree with them over an issue.

I don't know anything about a shot across the bow, but I do know that what I have seen of these mapping/X zones/whatever disagreements have been pretty stupid.

Good healthy disagreements and difference of opinion has been shunned here for too long. Anyone that gave it any thought can look at some of these past problemed x zone threads and see those getting the brunt of the hassle are full of crap.

Yetti's, ancient sheep herders, and rocks making fires in canyons are regularly mentioned, but that same person decides to offer free maps so anyone that calls that person out is gone bye bye?

Now that person speaks of needing additional "backup" because of a disagreement on posting exact hunting spots on a online hunting forum?

Think things have been blown hugely out of proportion, unless there is something major I have missed recently.

Sorry it has come to this guys. Some people just can't get along.
Jesse and map both have contributed a great deal of information and time to provide info that would not be available to most people otherwise on their own. Just the fact JHO is so robust and loaded with many areas to tap into is a rarity these days, thanks again.

And sorry to hear about some pizzant bad things coming your way map, just because you tried to help out.

bearclaw,

There is no such think as Big Foot and negative hunting's. When people are being kicked off of these forums, because they think that they have a claim on public land, they are unstable people who can justify anything. When I bug them with my bull they must rationalize and make a decision. I was only trying to save my own life and property.

The Navy uses this method aboard ship. When sailors get on each others nerves and one of them becomes unstable, the Chief and Officer call that guy in and drill him with stuff that makes him think and rationalize. They drill him fast switching back and forth between the Officer and Chief. It usually works if the sailor isn't too far gone.

And yes, I believe that you are unstable and dangerous, or you wouldn't be here causing trouble. Jesse's Forum has always been about helping people, you know that, but are too unstable to accept it.

Public land is public. If somebody wants to post information on facts he has gathered on his own and wants to share it to the world....................well it is called public land because it is open to the public. We all understand that the specific location being broadcast may actually be the honey hole you so carefully guarded and reconnoitered over the years. This certainly hurts the avid, hardworking hunter who has been working this particular honey hole. But then again........we must always remember that the public owns the land and as such we are just extremely fortunate that we have enjoyed our public land honey hole for so long without being disturbed. But as we all know..............sooner or later our honey hole will be discovered and with the internet as it is............public knowledge means that the whole world will be informed. So it is with dozens and dozens of public land honey holes that has been discussed, discovered, disclosed in the internet. It is not something new and we must always be prepared, expectant that our public land honeyhole will not last forever. If it is public land..............the public will know............sooner or later. There is no reason to break the law...............hunting on public land is for the public......honey hole or no honey hole.

There's a thread running in the muley forum about this so I thought I'd post it here too. Some folks got run off over the issue about sharing info and they want the leash let out on that. I'm willing to do that but at the same time they have to realize they just can't jack a thread or crap on someone just because they don't like the info they are posting. One post to say it's not kewl or advised to share honey holes will work. Continuing to hammer the person or post just to shut them down will not work. If we meet halfway there should be no problems.

The bottom line is no one should get run off here for either reason. Those that got suspended or banned over this now have their accounts back on and welcome to post here. It's up to them if they want to join us again, I hold no hard feelings towards any of them. It's water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.

map n bearclaw, you two need to get a room. :mooning:

Pardon my short absence, I was actually out hunting.

I am unstable? Has anyone ever been less connected with reality than yourself? Anyone that has been in any or the zones you have offered anything more than a map to knows your full of it, your in depth knowledge of X-12 is nothing more than laughable, but I guess yetti's can do that to you.

Also please elaborate as to how the US Navy goes about its business, I am sure I have forgotten in the few years since I was active. One of the best ways to let sailors figure out there differences was to lock them in a small room and let them work it out, I guess your the one that chose to break the chain of command and run to mommy.

I was on here exchanging info and offering to help anyone for any reason long before the nursing home installed computers so you could log on.

Just because you can add lines to a map does not make your assistance in a short period anything.

Bulldogdad, I am hoping the bulldogs you refer to are in Fresno, as I am pretty sure Athens, GA has stricter standards.

I'll pass, though my wife sometimes jokes that me and my sons need two women in the house to keep us under control, and our laundry done...

Jesse, your mention of one of the other forums (one I also frequent and where I have been personally slammed for just posting)is a perfect example of this misbehavior and exactly why JHO shines above the others. Threats and "tuneups" just lead to the next level...

Yup............Jesse and the administrators keep a tight rein on "foul language and illegal suggestions and threats and what nots" in this JHO. Most people try to avoid these unnecessary emotionalism and childish behaviour and would just rather have a fun, nice, peaceful time on the computer.

I don't know most of the details of these recent problems, by the time I read about it the the thread is already deleted, and I'm reading some sort of apology.

In my opinion the over policing and regulation here is not really a plus, more like a negative. You may think it has made this place better or more civil or whatever, but I know for a fact many people do not share hunt stories / photos / videos because of this. It seems that people are bored and bitter and have nothing better to do except be negative to show how much better and ethical of an outdoorsman they are. There is more bickering on here than on a damn Twilight forum.
