bobby7321,

I agree that these hunting forums are over policed. Messages are deleted right before my very eyes while I'm reading a thread. During the early years of the Internet we had the Newsnet without moderators and everything worked out okay. Jesse has made a ton of enemies, and there are about 20 more two-faced bearclaw's at the other forum down there. Jesse is saying that bearclaw and I should bunk-up together, and the 20 plus are claiming that Jesse and I are in the same sleeping bag. Plus, they were passing around a picture of my truck and camper, and actually warning one another about Bigfoot.

Seriously, there were about five who Jesse gave the boot that I wouldn't want to meet up with out in the field. Really unstable! Carrying high powered rifles with scopes, and unstable because of getting the boot during the middle of a disagreement. Anyway, I am pushing 70, so I'm way too old for this bullshit. Next year there will be no maps, and no one will know where I plan to hunt. The young guys have screwed it up for themselves! I will check back in a week to see if anyone has something to add.

IMHO, there are no secret spots any more, you just might not know about them, but you better believe some one does.
And because of www and forums like this one, much information is shared in a way that makes it easier for people to learn about. Before the web and sites like google earth, boot leather and an actual face to face conversation was how one located a honeyhole. Most of it by luck...
Today with this plethera of free, easy to get info many know what a few did back in the day. And it also seems today that there is an entitlement or ownership mentality of public land spots especially on refuges that has become rampant and in some cases dangerous.
As I posted earlier, this site is one of the few really civilized ones and without the personal intimidation, very foul language aimed at posters as well as the lack "tuneup" threats. And most of us can discuss issues like adults, share information without threat of retaliation and actually make some friends. Amazing...
I for one am one of the old school dudes who straddle the fence in having one foot in the old school hard work to get anything and one in this amazing www which with a type of finger can open a whole world of fantastic information. I also was raised to mind my manners...

Map, sorry to hear you have been intimidated by some. You have donated these maps for the asking and obviously enjoyed doing so. It is sad that it has come to this. Thanks for all you have contributed...

Just my two cents...

Down the road from me there is a sweet old lady that gets away from her stay-at-home nurse every few weeks and I see them chasing after her. I heard her one morning saying she wanted to go to Vons by herself.

Map, are you her husband, making your escape every few days/week and getting to a computer? Your posts reek of insanity and over-medication.

once again, I appreciate the fan club. I know Coleman Houston has been shown to be a phony and now his gaggle of fans needs someone else to hold onto, but I have not bought anything on ebay for a long time.

And I hate the smell of mothballs and instant coffee. In other words, I have no use for you, and your insane rambling. I know the weather is nice, but I will talk about that with folks I can understand.

Thanks for adding to the discussion, as you have done so approximately once every 16 days. Your input here is immeasurable.

In the meantime Map has spent a good bit of time trying to drag my name through the mud. I can take it, however I don't believe he can. On October 9th he had the balls to post up some pretty crappy things, but then after I responded, his scro-tis-imal fortitude shrank and he deleted it.

But I am glad he has such obvious friends and intellects to fight his fight for him.

The issue at hand is about how the issue at hand has been handled. Those with an opinion about that have, and hopefully will continue to post up.

Those that don't, also please continue to post up. Nothing like a bunch of folks opening their mouths and showing what kind of person they are.

Just like hunting spots posted online, stupidity is searchable forever.

Ok, anyway back to the regularly scheduled topic at hand. Apparently lots of nursing homes now have broadband.

Was this in the stimulus package? If so we should add a few jobs to the list as the forums are undoubtedly working overtime to keep up with the crazies, I think there were three before this.
