Predator 1's 2008 Shed Journal

[Predator 1]

Well, I got a bit of a late start this year compared to last year. I ended up finding a nice match set of old sheds while checking a scouitng camera. These were almost totally burried under the snow, and I was really surprised to find some old antlers at this time of year.

This past saturday was my first offical shed hunting trip.....I managed 1 nice fresh one!

So 3 for me so far.

Good to see that you've broke the ice.....i've been watching some other forums and it sounds like you're buried in snow up there. It's exciting to find them in the snow like that, you never know what it's going to look like until it's in your hand. Looks to be a good un'

2 last saturday, and one last sunday brings me up to 6 now. I was going to head out today, but decided against it due to the blowing snow and -45 windchill....might try tommorrow.

Nice sheds!!

Wow,sounds a little cold up there.If it helps it's been in the low 50's here all week.Kind'a wish we'd get a little cold snap in the teens to hurry to help these buck down here to start shedding.This winter has been way too mild here.

I mangaed to head out on sunday, although the wind chill was still pretty bad. We ended up with 7 total for the day (well 1/2 day), with the 5 I found, plus my previous total of 6....brings my total up to:

11 Total

Very nice finds so far! Hopefully you'll be able to beat last years 90 incher! How cold out was it?

Yeah I'm definitly looking for him..plus another buck that is close to (if not bigger) the same size. That day was still pretty cold. I think it was -25 without the wind, and -35 to -40 with.

Things are finally starting to warm up...even calling for a chance of rain tommorrow! I'm looking forward to my first all-dayer tommorrow!
