Preference Point System

I've applied for both elk and bighorn sheep tags for many years. But, I missed last year - the first year of the preference point system. These are pretty much once-in-a-lifetime drawings. So, if you miss getting a preference point 1 year, everybody else is ahead of you. You might as well give up.

Am I wrong? Anyone have any thoughts?

That my be 80% true
But with zones there are only 2 tags one goes to points and the other is open.
So there still is a chance
On the zones with more tags I think it 90%points 10% open.

True to a certain point. You are not taking into account people dying, moving out of the state or forgetting to apply for a preference point.
