I have seen a pic of one of the bulls from the East Park Res. bull hunt and it is very nice. My buddy drew a cow tag and I went with him for the hunt. The guide set him up nice and he scored on a delicious cow. Actually met you there Joe the day before his cow hunt. Thanks for all your work. What about the Cache Creek hunt? I know a coworker's son scored on the junior bull hunt. I haven't seen the pics or video of the hunt yet but I believe it was a 6x7, thats all I know.

I do not make spot kill maps for elk hunts, in a nutshell it does not provide me with that much information for most hunts. The only one it would help would be the Marble Mountain hunt. I do review the kill locations but that is about it. Since most of the hunt boundaries are fairly small the kill locations all tend to be in the same general area from the descripton given by the hunters (again, on most hunts). If there is specific info you need I can get you that, but I do not have any spotkill maps, sorry.
I have several pics from the youth hunt at Cache Creek, it was a nice bull. It was actually relocated in Feb 2005 from San Luis National Wildlife Refuge in Los Banos. I will post another update after a couple more hunts are over.

Hey Joe,
I have to commend you on your information, honesty and integrity with members of this forum. With more people like you in the CA DFG, you would be able to make some positive strides in educating the sportsmen and sportswomen of California on the DFG operations, management efforts and statistics. It's too bad politics won't allow the sound management of the deer population.

Keep up the good work

Joe -
Scott Hill has a spot kill map for some of the Marble Mtn. elk... although I think it is incomplete (and maybe outdated). If need be, I could digitize it for you some day...
