I would Drag my dad up there but from what i read the mail in application and processing would take a while and don't think we could even make it =\ also never hunted there so we wouldnt even know where to start

FHL takes about 2 weeks to do the apps. The hunt is Feb 14th. You have plenty of time to mail the app. I'd get them off before Jan 23 to be safe.

I finally got $90 together for the permit. A twenty here and a twenty there out of my Christmas cards, anniversary cards, and birthdays cards. Should have had 10 kids, so I could get more cards in the mail. The guys who are living on Social Security have to really scrap to get that permit money. I found out that my son (a starving college kid) can come along as a Guest, so it looks like we will be walking around with one gun between us. Well, unless he can come up with the $35 for a 2 day permit? If the weather holds, I will pull my jet boat down there. TA 29 is interesting looking through the fence from my fresh water taxi.

i will be bringing my wife on this trip,(should be interesting)she just got her hunting license and a pig tag!!! im going to miss jesse snoring all night though. oh,she is vegetarian.! wouldnt be cool to have your vegetarian wife kill you some food.wow,what a concept.the hardest part of this ordeal will be chopping my beloved remington 788 in 243 for her to shoot.man i loved that rifle!! the best shootin gun i own.i ask from my fellow brothers to pray for me .rick

Hey Rick-
Very cool your wife is coming. I would give up all my favorite guns to have my wife enjoy and come with me hunting. Just not her deal and that is OK. So my guns are safe. I bet she will treat it nicely and hopefully she will shoot something with it. That would be a great trip and well worth it!
