Here is the deal, you make a donation to the Yolo County Fire Investigation Task Force (Tax write off) and receive a money back guarantee of a shot at a hog on privet property. Went for a drive with my son, wife and best friend last night and saw over 125 hogs did not take a shot on one in the brush (10 yards) missed at 40 yards and then found one in a wallow for a 15 yard kill, 200 lbs. nice hog. I’m not a guide but trying to raise money for a Volunteer organization. Below is the info on the group. You can email me a bid or post it here.

The bids will close Wednesday the 23rd of May at 4pm

If you are the high bidder you will be able to pic a date and time for the hunt. Hunter is responsible for tag, lic., and any processing.

Location Western Yolo County

Each year Yolo County F.I.T.F. continues to advance in the area of fire/arson Investigations. Through the last 35 years we have assisted many county fire department in investigating fires within there jurisdiction.
Yolo County F.I.T.F. continues to work to help make a difference in the lives of people in Yolo County. The Yolo County F.I.T.F. is a volunteer group with donations as the only means of funding.
However, continued upkeep of equipment and training is essential when tasked with investigating over 50 fires a year.

Today, you can assist the Yolo County F.I.T.F. in maintaining the equipment and training needed to continue providing this service to the members of our community. We will be having a Fundraising dinner on June 23, 2007. If you would like to donate a raffle prize or a donation can be made to the Yolo County F.I.T.F. it will be greatly appreciated.

I hope we can count on you to help. Please contact me if you have any questions or wish to donate a raffle prize or to make a donation.

Thanks, any questions contact fishingitup@yahoo.com

Hey Fish, great idea. Consult Fish and Game though, as I recall one member here got reamed for doing the same type thing. F & G, in their infinite wisdom, had no mercy

Fishingitup... can you drop me an email?

Lowell (BoartracksCA) from Camp Roberts got into an ugly spot over something almost identical to what you're doing. It's a good cause and seems like the right thing to do, but that didn't seem to help Lowell.

I may have a way to help out, but would like to discuss with you first. Just use the email button below my avatar, and shoot me a line.

Talked with DFG and every thing is ok, the hunter needs a Lic. and tag.

email that took place:

My name is Matt I'm a member of the Yolo County Fire
Investigation Task Force and we are having a Fund Raising Dinner in
June. I have a question about a donation of a pig hunt on privet
property that has been donated for a silent action. The winner of the
action would make a donation to the group and a family member would take

the person making the donation to the property and let the person hunt
for a wild pig. My question is, is this ok?

Thanks,

Updike, Doug DFG

Yep, that's OK. The hunter needs a wild pig tag, cost about $15. Thanks.

You really need to clear this with us before you do any raffles, etc.

This is on hold until we get better clarification from DFG. We've been burned on this once before so yeah, we're going to make sure we can do this here.
