Has anyone been to Laguna Seca? It looks like its the closest to me with a 300 yard range. Is it only a gong or can you set up some targets too. Want to practice at some long yardage. 300-500 yards. Is there anywhere in the silicon valley area with a range above 200 yards?

I've never been to Laguna Seca to shoot, I might have to check it out.

I know Chabot has a 200 yd. range, and I think there's one more around here that has a 200.

The best thing for long ranges is to have a friend with some property out in the country areas.

You can drive over to Griswold Hills BLM property to shoot. It's down the Panoche Rd. You can set the ranges up as far as you want them.

There's a lot of flat, open land there, though, so be sure of your backstop.

If you make you way up to the Sacramento / Ione area Sac Valley http://www.sacvalley.org has ranges up to 1000 yards. They have handguns, shotguns, and rifle ranges. Fun to spend a day out there when you have nothing else to do.
