G'day.I went up for another look (doe hunting) got a couple of does and a heap of sheds.I went straight to the largest freshy area to no avail. So I waked a fair few miles to get back to where I found the beer. But this time I stayed on the ridge to see what was their.First things first.I got 2 on the way.

I found this spike on the ridge.

Nothing on the ridge so I headed straight back to the homestead via the southern end of the Haul paddock.
The first on the flat.Very old indeed.

Metres away was the other half.

The first on the haul paddock.I must state that the paddock is 4 km's long and 3km's wide. This is why I didn't get to these when they were droped fresh.

I'm flat out working so I have to cut the as it lay short.
But this is the round up for shed hunt number 7 or 8 for 2007/2008.

The 3 horns standing up were found later this day while recovering a doe I lost in the fog and high cutting grass. The managers son found the far left horn (standing up).

On the way to getting the doe I yelled at my ol man "hey","I just saw a big browtine sticking up over their"."Do you want to grab it now",he asked."Nah,we will get it on the way back".
On the way back we stoped and had a look.It was a yellow stick that I thought was a browtine. But as we looked dad said "Is that it"."Nah thats not it"."but very very well spotted all the same dad","cheers".So I jumped the fence and scored the middle one.The middle one and the one I dug up being the best of the trip.

NOTE: All the little chewed bits and half horns.I am picking these up for a reason.WHY? To deprive the nibblers of calcium for a month or two.THEN a month before the fresh drop i'm going to place the old chews back out in the paddocks.Because they would seem like a new addition hopefully the rodents pick on the whites and leave the freshies unchewed for me when I go back.he he he

Happy Hunting Guys!!
