OK Gurus, looking for some input. I am headed to Fayetteville, AR for the Razorbacks home opener this Saturday. I am taking my Oly c750 with me.

My question is what would be the best setting to use under stadium lighting or should I just set it in auto and leave it :) Also I have a terrible time when using my 1.7x zoom on getting any shot that are clear. I guess I just can't hold it steady enough. Thanks for any input

Stadium shots are extremely difficult, especially at night. Chances are if you put it in auto, it will drop your shutter speed too slow to get a clear/crisp photo. (cause the amount of light is too low)

Adding the 1.7x doesnt help because you loose light everytime you add a tc.

You may be able to try bumping up the ISO some, but of course that means noise.

If it was me, I would probably set it on shutter priority, with a speed of 1/125 sec, maybe bump the ISO to ISO200 (my sony does somewhat okay at 200, your milage may vary) Doing this will make sure that there is low noise, and that the shutter will freeze the motion. but you photos will most likely come out too dark (unless it is an extremely well lit stadium).. but you can help the photos out some in photoshop by boosting the brightness.

Tough circumstances g-hog, I wish you the best.

Thanks Chris, I was afraid the lighting and telephoto were going to be a bad combination. I will give it a shot. I got 3 hrs to play with it some while I am there. Many thanks for the advice!!
