Question for MO natives

Hey everyone...my Father and I will be joining the ranks of you MO guys this coming year and it looks right now like vernon county....does anyone have any info or advice about  this area of the state?? Any comments would be appreciated...

Jayboy, I'll chime in since nobody else has. I haven't hunted that county but know there's been some great bucks taken there. Lots of crops mixed with timber/bottomland/strip mine. You are in the western part of the state that I personally am not too familiar with. Should a be good deer hunting area though.

Being on the Kansas border, you may even see a few big non typicals.
