On opening day of the dove season, Tony Mong was tracking the hunted. Standing at the edge of a cut sunflower field on the James A. Reed Memorial Wildlife Area, he slowly swept an antenna through the air. It didn’t take long to pick up the signal given off by one of the doves he had implanted with a radio tag earlier in the year.
