I think I've found a new role model...: "I wanna be just like hatchet1 when I grow up!" (if that ever happens...)

Actually... Hatchet, I think I'm starting to hate you! Four weeks, four Thursdays... argghhh!

Maybe I'm just jealous? Maybe I just need to get out and do some hunting myself?

Dang right I am! Woohoo.. time to go hunting!
<

I won't see the pix until I get home on Monday, Hatchet...but congrats in the meantime! And yeah... if you go up, you must come down!

ENVY! ENVY! It is killing me... Nice pig and thanks for posting. Not many places you can go for a single day six times in a row and harvest a pig! Good Job.

By the way, it is better to go up and have to come back down then to go down and need to climb out.. Take this from someone who has experienced that. We committed to a slope and slid to the bottom. Even with all four wheels chained up the mud was too slick to climb out. It was a long walk out and then had to wait for the ground to dry out enough to get the vehicle.

shovel. i was about 6 inches away from doing a{parts recovery only}on my truck!!
after givin the old girl all she had to get up the mountain, i had forgotten about getting down!
<

in 4 low and in first gear, i was at the mercy of the mountain, she came to rest in a river bottom that
lucky had a rocky bottom, followed it out until i hit hard surface on the road, you know your screwed
when you are forced to drive in a running river rather than stay on the road
<

i should also mention that i dont hammer the same property every week, i have 3
that i rotate into the volley, with 4 kids, i,ll be needing all 3 propertys
<
as for
the shot, about 200yds cross canyon ,nice sounder of about 15 or 20,there were much bigger
hogs in the group, but assesing the recovery before the shot, i decieded to shoot the "eater"
knowing i would have to pack it out, man my boys have got to get older quick!!{actually
i really dont want them to grow up to quick} enjoy the photos, and stay tuned...

Congrats again hatchet1! You must be raising them kids on a diet of wild hog and keeping the F&G in business with hog tag sales. I think you need to take up hog huntin with a wrist rocket and give the hogs a chance

OK dude, no fair, the hogs don't stand a chance with you around. Put the rifle up, time for stick and string.

Jeez...I suddenly feel inadequate and underskilled.

Congrats, though...(hangs head and walks away slowly while mumbling something inappropriate)

Man oh man you sure do know how to put the mark on them pigs! Eachtime I look at the board on Thursday I see your name at the top. Congrats on your fine hunting. Keep em coming. At this point I think we all are living vicariously through you. Pig Down!

Congrats again, until next week
