On my way home from vacation friday, I got a call from Flatbroke. Seems my father in law and his friend hunted the dogs that morning. They got a nice boar, it was posted a couple days ago by Flatbroke. My daughter had a game Saturday morning, so we waited until Sunday morning to go. Flatbroke, myself, and the other two guys were on site and ready to go at first light. We put two dogs out, within ten minutes the dogs were gone. After about another five minutes they were bayed up. A short drive up the road, put us about 300 yards above them. We bailed out of the truck, and turned out four more dogs. A short run down hill put us on the hog. The dogs were working great. We sat back took some video, and enjoyed the moment. A couple of photos, and then a quick pistol shot finished the deal. Although he was not a monster hog, he was a mean hog, willing to stand his ground. It was nice to watch the dogs work as a team. Each one helping out when the other needed it. These are all young dogs that are turning on great. If some one will tell me how to post video, I will.
