Take it easy EASY! I complain about LA hunters all the time, and I know that it's just an unjustified prejudicial rant, but like the LA driver, the stereotype has to come from somewhere. Please don't take things so personal. People realize that it's hunters like you, who are the ones that will break the bad rep. (looked for a handshake smiley, but couldn't find one)

I did not mean to blame anyone from LA for the "supposed" theft mentioned earlier. If you leave any valuables laying around, then they will be open to being taken, sorry...
The facts are, more will come and with them the problems.
And the amount of people using Camp Bob has swelled in the past 10 years and while standing in line I talk to everyone I can, most are from "down south". I meant no direspect to those from LA, but take a look at the locations of all but me who have posted on this topic, I don't see anyone from locations like Fresno or San Fran, in fact anywhere other than "down south".
I should have made it more clear, that the crowding is what I'm basically concerned with. Just be safe.

In my original post, my statement was:"Camp Bob is a great place, BUT will be crowded". I did not say anything about people coming from LA to "steal your money and valuables ON your tent"... So chill out yourself.

In my first post, I was trying to compliment you for getting your kids involved.

The other stuff was not intended to offend ANYONE in particular. I was trying to make it clear that because (of the wonder of the internet), many places are now being over run and sometimes abused, Camp Bob among them. There is alot of bad behavior and there is even some criminal activity, as alleged in the original post.
I don't really care where you come from if you are, respectful, really a true sportsman(following the rules, obey the law and don't cop an attitude). I have lived here and hunted this beautiful area for a long time and it is getting to the point where I don't even go out to Camp Bob much anymore, especially opening day and during rifle deer season, because it is NOT SAFE. I hunt mainly with a bow along the river, and have seen people scoping me with their guns, had people sneak up on me when I was seated with their guns pointed in my direction in the primativeweapons area, had people make a drive through and run off the pigs we were sitting on waiting for a clear shot, seen one guy empty his gun "flock shooting" a herd of piglets with their mom at full run right past the game shack, I won't mention where they were from and I know, because I confronted them.
This is a public area and you get the good with the bad...

Sorry, I misaddressed my comment about LA hunters to you, when I meant for it to be addressed to XDHUNTER. I was trying to ask him to calm down, and not take it personal. I got no problems. I understand what you're saying, and agree, although I have so far been able to stay away from the crowds out there in CR.

Be sure to ask "politely" at the game shack for any info they can give you. The last couple of years there has only been one warden to check people in and they aren't very chatty. There should be lots of pigs around, but since the weather has gotten hot, you will need to be and looking VERY early.
