I haven't posted here in a while. Been enjoying everyone else's finds though. Here's a set off an 8 point I found on April 9th in upstate NY. Hope it posts correctly. If this works, will post a few more better ones.
Here's a real gagger I found across the lake in a spot I found to go in Ontario, Canada. It has a 26.5" beam, the tines are raked forward and it's got character I can't get here in NYS.
Last one for now but it's a doozy. I found it the week before, about 150 yards from the previous ones pictured above. It too has a 26.5" beam and measures a solid 70-7/8"...my first ever shed over 70" or even over 63" as far as that goes. My wife does not want to be photographed and thinks I have too many sheds in the family room. All told for this spring I found three matched sets in NYS and in Canada I found 7 of which I kept 4, the two pictured plus a heavy 5 point side and a 2.5 yrs olf 4 point side. A good year for me here, 16 found and 13 kept.
Thanks for postin your finds. Looks like you had a good year in an area I am sure many people also hunt on. Tell your wife you can never have to many antlers in the house.
Nice sheds there Crotchhorn. I'm up to 11 whitetail sheds, and 1 moose shed. THats about average for me. Going to try to get out a couple times next week for moose sheds. In a week or so I'll be done until fall. Of all the hunting I do,Ilike shed hunting the best. It's really exciting to walk up on a set.
Congrats on a great year!! You've got some nice looking sheds there.
If the wife thinks there's too many sheds in the family room just find a few other rooms to store your sheds.I've got them laying all over the place.lol
