Looking to increase my flexibility at FHL, so I'm going to outfit my Mossberg 500 with a rifled barrel and scope for hunting pigs.
I just "won" a cantilever Mossberg barrel on eBay, and am mulling over the scope choices. I found the Nikon ProStaff Shotgun Hunter 2-7x32 for a decent price, or would the Nikon Slughunter 3-9x40 be a better choice for about $100 more?
I know next to nothing about shotgun scopes, so someone please wise me up. The other one that pops up a lot is the Leupold VX-1.
So, what say you folks with experience?
