Interesting article about those 56 hunters busted using dogs for deer in the recent River Hills Traveler newspaper.

Seems the records 16 of those who were convicted cannot be found in the system. The other 40 people have their records on file and what their fines and sentences were. The paper writer seemed to be following up on rumors that the other 16 were politicians who had the records and any other info covered up until the election is over. The writer said he called all over the county, the state and federal offices in St. Louis and got the run around.

Seems odd that a public conviction paperwork would disappear. Since this info is free to be examined by the public you can check at any court for past procedings.

Anybody know any more on this growing mystery?

As long as were on corrupt politicians, I posted a story of a county sheriff in NE Missouri (Clark Co.) a few months back that got nabbed by Iowa wardens for poaching. Anybody hear what happened to him? I haven't seen anything since in the papers.
