Ha-ha! You are right! It's not that I mind recoil. But the hornady leverevolution in my 30-30 compared to the 150 grain remington is pretty harsh. With the remington ammo my 30-30 is what you'd call a "sweet shooting" rifle.

Those 94s can be a handfull.
I think the skinny stock, hard butt plate and light weight of the rifle contribute to the
felt recoil of this rifle. Try one of those sissy pads.
I can shoot my '06 fine at the range, but my buddy's '94, I'm done after a couple shots.
