Launched my boat sunday morning 5:30am @ Marina del Rey for a leisure day of fission. Picked up a nice scoop O dines from In Seine bait and ran up to Pt Dume. Really slow pick on the Sand Bass and shallow rockfish. Ran down to the getty museum area around 11:00am and its was wide open on the short halibut in 60 feet of water. We got about 13 shorts before we left to fish the twin towers area. Picked another 6 short butts there including one that had his friends follow him all the way to the surface. After 2 drifts I moved out to 100 feet and we passed over the mother of all meter marks and my friend and I went bendo. We both nailed quality sand bass so I quickly dropped the anchor and we started chumming with cut giant squid and chunks of sardines and de bass went stupid. Excellent grade of fish too. Back at the ramp for wash down and drive home by 4:00pm. Driving home and passing by LAX you see some weird driving practices even on Sunday afternoon.
