Hello I'm going on a hunt this year in an area around 7,500 feet in elevation. The problem is that there is no way for me to sight in my rifle up there and I live around 400 feet. Any suggestions on how I might solve this problem. I want my rifle sighted in at 100yds. I'm shooting an old ruger m77 .270 150 grain. Thanks

It will be close enough at 100 yds. The temperature difference will probably have more effect than the elevation. I sight in my guns as early in the morning as I can to mitigate this.

Ok well I'm sighting it in at about 90 degree Fahrenheit weather in bad air quality and will be hunting in the 50's to low 60's. Do you think there would be much difference?

The difference in elevation and temperatures you'll experience during the hunt will be so minimal at 100-200 yards that you shouldn't have any issues even though you sighted it in near sea level. Just remember to get a good rest for your rifle, control your breathing, and squeeze the trigger! With a .270, you should be goodout to 300 yards if you have practice at that distance. Good luck!

For the distancies you William be shooting, the re William be no significante distance. How even, for the calibre you are shooting, I world site in at 200 yardas. But at 100 you William be fine.
