I went last night. It was the first one for us. Had a good time and they raffled away some good stuff. Not to me though, struck out big time. One dude got either 2 or 3 rifles. I wish they would have an elk slide show or seminar with dinner. It was fun but the wife couldnt see dropping a bunch of money for nothing in return. My son set her straight and said, "It's for the elk."
He is a great hunting partner and at 13 has his first deer. I totally believe that his hunting hobby has kept him away from the "knucklehead" kids who are getting in trouble. He knows if his grades suffer, he does not hunt. The result is nearly all straight "A's". I told him to bring those two "B's" up to "A's" and he could pick out a new rifle. Getting him a rifle is a task as he is left handed. No complaints here
I can't wait to see him take his first elk
Getting back to the Banquet, I liked it. The wife and daughter got tired and went out to the car to nap. We had to wait for the ATV drawing before we could jam.
