I am just wondering how the $450 gift certificates to Cabelas went over in other banquets. I think they are a great deal, plus anyone, even an animal rights activist from San Franscisco, could find something she wants in the Cabelas catalog. Much better than selling an unwanted gun back to the dealer for a fraction of its cost if you do not want it. But I am in the minority in the Ridgecrest Chapter. I am just looking for input, as our banquet is May 15.

Man I agree- went to La crosse Wi banquet 2 wks ago- personally I hav eno use for silent auctions nor guns- I'm a lefty and have to turn in guns etc- i like to buy what i want- much prefer if we had a cabela's cert or Gander etc as door prizes- raffles etc- I like Liv eauctions for hunts etc best but here they don't get much play- i also liked th eone where they sold 60 hats with a # for $50 ea- then drew and winner got a $3500 hunt in NM- it was very well recieved here and brought in more $$ then straight live auctions.
