Rose-Breasted Grosbeak

Just some pics of a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak that I took last week in the back yard. It was the first time I have ever seen one, pretty cool looking bird. The last pic lost some color and sharpness from cropping, it’s hard focusing in on birds while they are flying.

Well CK, I think you are officially hooked, you even know the name of the bird!!

Those Grosbeak are pretty cool little birds.

Yup FoulShot, I'm hooked. Not ready to spend the money for the better equipment, maybe some day soon (I hope).

I have a book titled The Audubon Backyard Birdwatcher, it is kind of fun to take pics of the birds and then look them up in the book. I'm learning to identify some of them by their calls (or songs), which is kind cool also I guess.

Nice pictures! Never seen one of them birds before. Dont know if they have them here in VA.
