These pigs were taken 2 weeks ago in Iran by my cousins. They used a 30.06 and a shotgun. Enjoy!

This thread points out an important humanistic fact... in spite of all the BS that's gone down between the US and Iran, the "average guy" (i.e., not a politician or cleric) in both countries enjoys getting out in the woods, sharing some camaraderie with a friend or relative, and blasting some pork!

Nice pictures.

p.s. Looks like the average guy likes Jeeps too!

Amazing how with the pure Eurasians the whetters are so much bigger and the curve the lowers take. You don't have to prop their mouths open with a stick over there! Thanks for those Shot man. He's a Jeep man like me too!

Nice pigs, I guess all of Iran isn't desert lol.
That was the first thing I noticed, too. What part of Iran is that?

Also, do those guys partake of the pork? I thought that was verbotten in Islam.

First, no not all of Iran is desert, there are many forests full of trees and lots of greenery, thats why so many pigs can be supported in the ecosystem.

Second, I am Christain, just like my cousins. You are right about pork being forbidden in Isam, thats why the Christains have such a huge population of wild pigs to hunt in Iran. I hope Isam will also forbid pork, more pork for us

Besides the government of Iran will only give wild pig tags to the Armenians (most of the Christains in Iran). They will not issue any wild pig tags to any member of Isam. Isn't it great, that way the pig population will also remain high. Hope this clear things up.

Chevy pickups and Jeeps in Iran????
When the Shah of Iran was in power (before the current radical government), the US had a good relationship with Iran. Because of this many American products, as well as Americans, came to Iran. There was a Bob's Big Boy 4 blocks from my house when I was a kid (in Iran), ran by Americans.

Thanks, but none of my family members live around that area. It is mostly a village area with old brick houses (thats why there was the high casualty rate).

I wouldn't mind visiting Iran some day. It seems like a fascinating place.
