Let's stop beating it around the bush and state the facts, this is becoming stupid.

I agree with Lurediver... let's here how it went from JT's perspective and go on from there. At times there is so much bashing on this web site, I think we can take one man's opinion on how his hunt went.... Step-up Jeff and let's here it!!! And for what it's worth, I'm sorry it was not good.

Does Cassidy Outfitters have a web site. What did they charge for 5 days of hunting.

Yeah, they got a website... just type their name into the browser and add dot com...

As far as price, they advertise 5 days, fully guided and supported, at $3,200... however, we were sweet talked into a "deal", and got it for $2,700... at the time seemed like we were getting a great deal as many other combined elk-deer combo hunts were closer to $6,000... perhaps that should have perked our spidy sense right there.

Was it a ranch hunt or ride in wilderness.[/b]
Word we got was that it was an 8,000 acre private ranch, and only one group of hunters hunted it per year... the experiences relayed to me was that both of those claims were a stretch.

Ranch hunts usually don't work for elk. It's mill hunting. They want the hunters in and then out. And, for a sizeable fee.
Whenever you consider a guided hunt. You've got to do some serious homework.

If anyone plans on hunting with the above outfitter in the future, I would be happy to impart my experinces...they can simply contact me. As far as the information that some of you are craving, I think I made it clear in my first post--I am no going to get into an internet-board bashing session.

If anyone really wants more information, READ Backcountry's posts.

Sorry to see this especially after BC came to me and asked for some input before booking. I missed the unedited version. Maybe that's better. I'm sorry boys. Don't know what to say. Ed F
