Thursday evening I took my son to AZ for a JR fall javelina and deer hunt. On friday morning we came upon a covey of quail at the same place I bagged a couple of mearn's quail last year with my 44 loaded with shotshells.
Then later that evening, my son dropped an old sow in her tracks at 158 yds. The pig was standing on the exact same spot where he bagged one in feb. '05.

Only does. It was very warm still. If my son hadn't shot that javelina, I was planning on hiking deeper into the mountains where I know of a waterhole. But with the warm weather we had to take care of his pig.

Looks like you had fun. I tried to see the javelina in the "shot" photo but I couldn't see it. Was that a reenactment?

The pic was taken after the shot but he's aiming at the dead javelina. Also, there are live javelinas in the pic. Some of them lingered around after the shot and didn't run away until we hiked over there.
We studied the kill spot long and hard before taking our eyes off of it. They blend in real good and it's easy to lose them.
