On my hard copy I got in the mail it says that the decision is subject to appeal. And only those individuals that submitted written or oral comments during the comment period are eligible to appeal.

I do not think they will get rid of all the pigs, and I do not think they really ever planned to. However, they will spend a whole lot of money that they do not have and the pigs will be coming back into the areas they remove them from.

Interesting. ###I spent a half an hour this week with a CNF employee about CNF pigs that I have met with previously and this recent publication was not even mentioned. Section 10 of the first publication states, "short term temporary closure of public land." ###Will that entail short term "season closures" of forest roads for safety purposes that seem to never reopen? In some respects a little torn because would like to put free range organic pig meet on the table but they do a fair amount of damage to the environment. ###I witnessed thousands (yes) of square feet of recent rooting last weekend which probably happened in just a couple of days.###

I question the second document (i.e. Analysis) ###section 1.12.14. ###Did the study allow true open access to area? ###Again, if it is difficult for hunters to access land they will logically be significantly disadvantaged. ###Open access!!!

During the comment period, logical focus seems to be:
1) what is the true cost to us the tax payers?
2) does the the above cost completely 100% eliminate the intended goal?
3) where is the return on investment (ROI) analysis disclosing the actual true $ cost benefit analysis? ###I am a simple math guy. ###My good Russian friend always says, "I trust you sort of, but show me the numbers."###
4) if the CNF effort is unable to target private and Indian Reservations, how can this proposal ever succeed?
5) open up public land access to hunters to assist

And a finally, Appendix A is WAY understated. ###Ran into significant recent rooting much further than the map just last weekend.

I responded durring the 1st comment period & received a response to my opposition. I received the same mailing as mentioned above- again responding after reading over there proposal & received a response... This time asking how they plan on getting pigs off private land where the owners may not agree with there plans for eliminating the target species. They said they can only provide the information to the owners regarding the doom & distruction that will follow if the pigs find sanctuary on there land. Bottom line- they will do what they deem best regardless of what you & I want... Waist of $$$ if you ask me. Impossible to eliminate them all & it will be a bottomless pit of spending.

With just a few exceptions, there is very little mention of the Department of Fish and Wildlife ("DFG" according to the USFS). It mentions the possibility of the DFW sponsoring a pig hunt in the area but, other than that, it appears that the DFW isn't involved. The Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) is involved, "The State of California Department of Parks and Recreation has been designated the lead agency for the CEQA analysis." State Parks, really? Why not the DFW? Just my 2 cents.

And , what's this bullshit about swine eradicators using only lead free ammo in CNF ? Last time I checked CNF not in CON-dor zone .

What about all the pigs on private land and the reservations that will just repopulate the NF after the program has run out of cash? Total waste of money. They need to open all the gates and allow access for hunters.

For goodness sake there are plenty of people that would love to kill these pigs just no one knows where they are
