I am drawing my own conclusions...

There is nothing wrong with Doug's operation (I have never been there myself); he appears to be teaching new hunters some important fundamentals. It is not the same as a public land hunt, however, and a world of difference from wearing out boot leather hiking around the CNF hunting feral hogs.

Yes, the hogs were processed at Dougs place. He is a great friend of mine, and an awesome guide. He does run a pig operation out of his property for young and up and coming hunters. His place is nothing like BHCR (Not that theres anything wrong with BHCR). But these hogs are not the kind you pet before you shoot. They are WILD hogs that run through the forest service land behind Dougs property. Doug has an awesome self made butcher shop and that is where we cleaned and processed our hogs. He has multiple ponds of water through out his property and that is what keeps the pigs coming in and out of his property. If any one is interested in hunting and bagging a real SD hog, he is the man to talk to. He guides through out CNF and he will also allow you to hunt his property that borders public land, and thats where the bacon is coming from. He also guides in Paso Robles for hogs, although I have never tried that out yet.

I hear ya - it took me almost six months to (bow) kill my last DIY public land pig.....incredibly difficult and a ton of time and effort. Is the OP representing this hunt as a DIY public land hunt in the CNF.....?

The land in question behind Doug's Wilderness Adventures is a patch of CNF less than .5 of a square mile surrounded by semi-rural Descanso neighborhoods. Here is a CNF map: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_MEDIA/stelprdb5276623.pdf The open area contains Rt. #15S26, which is located near where I-8 and the 79 meet. Three San Diego County wild pigs taken and a fourth sighted in such a small area surrounded by homes/small acreages would appear to be a little fantastical. Meat in the freezer either way, I guess.

I took a hog butchering class there. For $30.00 Doug slaughtered two pigs and we then spent the day learning about pigs, skinning, field dressing and breaking down the pigs into the different cuts. I also got to take home quite a bit of meat. Very educational and a great deal for 30.00.
His butcher shop is awesome. He's got stainless tables and a band saw etc. He also offers a service where if someone bags an animal from him or wherever he will butcher it for a small donation to cover his costs.
That being said whenever I see pics of pigs I look for that background or a blockwall column with a wood roof or a pig hanging from it's snout by a wire snare. Those are dead giveaways that the pics are from Doug's place..
I took the class in case i was to ever get lucky and get a pig but honestly it helped for any animal and im glad I took it.

So??? Is this a can hunt?? Or is this CNF honey hole that's so small?? or do ppl get to cross over to other lands around( mayb not get to but do they) ?? Hard to get a feel of things when the info is often mixed.

It would appear the OP would have us believe that he and his friends hit "San Diego County feral pig lottery" within a couple hours in a tiny patch of ground located directly behind a canned hunt operation, then just happened to use the canned hunt operation's processing area to butcher their take. After all, as any of us know who have spent days hunting the public land areas of the CNF, it is always just that easy to bag wild pigs in San Diego County! (Sarcasm). I think the OP and his friends paid for a canned hunt, then tried to make the rest of us believe the fenced-in pigs they killed were the result of a public land hunt. Not exactly the best way to win friends and influence people on hunting forums. 'Nuff said.
