San Gabriel Valley Shooting Range

We will be heading to the range tomorrow morning to check the rifles for the upcoming JHO hunt. Range gates open at 6:30. We will be there trying to get a 200yd bench parking spot around 7:30 and the Range window opens at 8:00. Some of you local boys stop in and say hello if you get the chance.

It's located in Fish Canyon just East of where the 605 fwy ends into the 210 fwy. I don't remember the rates but it's a flat rate per person per bench for as long as you prefer to stay. Click on the link below for the range info.

I may stop by. I will be on my way up to Tejon ranch for some squirrel and coyote hunting. I have 2 brand new guns to break in. A Browning A Bolt Varmint Stalker in 223 and a Ruger K77 17 VMBZ. Maybe I need to punch some paper targets before the live ones. I'll be in a white Toyota Sequoia.

Sounds like you're looking for a shot at the Title, KID. Sighted in just fine, saw lots of deer and one large group of pigs. I left too early from home or I would have stoped at the range. I passed the Irwindale exit at 7:00 am. I was looking forward to meeting some JHO people, but Tejon Ranch was calling.

Sorry we missed you Sully. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to get up to the ranch.

Did you take any pictures of the pigs to tease us just alittle?
richw, it was a pleasure doing some shooting with you and meeting you for the first time. Looking forward to seeing that skinning station you were telling me about. Post some pics if you got them. Probably going back up next weekend for a few more rounds like we discussed so if your interested let me know.

Dang!! They were having some kind of competition out at SGVCC on Sunday. All the 200yd benches were occupied. Gonna have to get out there Thursday...

Did anyone else make it there Sunday. I was there, 8 untill 12 noon. I had a 100 yard bench. The place was packed.

I got a 200yd bench yesterday #79.

Plowed 5 rounds at the 100yd target with three exactly where I wanted them and the other two weren't bad just alittle right. Probably pulled them. Slung three down to the 200yd target and landed two in the bull with the third hitting dead center and just a 1/2" high. I'm feeling the confidence I was looking for last week that I just couldn't get. Watch out piggies!!!

I did see someones vehicle with a newer JHO sticker on it yesterday down by the 200yd benches but couldn't figure who to approach to say hello.

I was on bench #65. I had a JHO hat displayed on the dash of my Viper GTS. I walked down to the end a few times, looking for a Ford SD or a JHO Sticker. I didn't see either. Sorry I missed you. I really wanted to try targets at 200.
