If you are / WERE one of the few of us that hunted the area around the old school house by White Oak Development, forget it now. I was there today dove hunting and meet up with 2 Riverside Parks Rangers. Nice guys. Well, here is the skinny of it: The area around the old school house and the oak covered hills by the development are marked "No Hunting". The land of the marshes along San Timeteo Road west to the bend, north to the 10 freeway and back again is now a Riverside Wildlife Preserve. It is posted at all corners, roads, canyons, everywhere. The only open land is in the dead center which is owned by Oak Development but they informed me that they are going to have it soon also for the preserve. It seems that there is a small bird, butterfly and a rat that live there that are on the endangered list ? ? ? They have taken about 2 square miles of land so, there goes another hunting location.
