Map, there is a road that you could have took to your spot in TA 19 without having to cross the creek at the north end or go through the closed Gabilan Road. I forgot the name of the road, but if you take the second turn off into the Nacimiento Furguson Loop from Nacimiento Furguson Road, go down the loop and it will be the first road to your right after the turn off that you took to where you Cherokee drowned. That road take you throug a small portion of TA15 then it become the TA20 and TA19 border. It will take you out to the intersection right at the creek that flows out of Hughes Reservoir right at the corner where TA20, TA19, TA24, and TA23 comes together. I believed right there in that corner is where you mentioned you wanted to hunt.

L2 Is the road your talking about called los bueyes road?It will take you to 19 through 12 not T20. If you are talking about the area where we met during 2008 season, then yes it is a productive area.

Map sorry about what happen to your cherokee.

NO. The road I'm talking about turns off the Nacimiento Ferguson Loop and goes through TA15. It is where TA20, TA19, and TA15 comes together. Then it is the TA20 and TA19 boundary all the way to where TA24, TA19, TA20 and TA23 comes together right at the small creek that flows out of Hughes Reservoir. You don't have to cross any creek on this route. The area we met in 2008 is in TA23 on the west side of the creek. I believed the area Map was talking about is the burned area in TA19 east of the creek. Back in 2005 a group of pigs came from TA20 through a small canyon into the small creek that flows out of Hughes Reservoir in TA19 and I shot one right in the creek. The spot is right where the base currently have some junk cars and shacks in the open all shot up.

It had nothing to do with skinning hogs. Dr. said my body got over-exposed to cold weather and breathing in lots of cold air caused pneumonia and some bacteria infection in my lung. I believed Dr. is correct because I have been out in very cold weather wearing light and thin layers of clothing during most of my winter hog hunting excursions. My blood test also showed acute Hepatitis B positive which it will eventually heal itself anywhere between 2-6 months timeframe. I believed hog does not carry Hepatitis virus. And I have never had Hepatitis before. So I believed I probably got from the couple of concubines I've been fooling around with recently. Oh and ssshhhhh....don't tell my wife that.....:roll-wink-green:

Thanks for the info... pneumonia is some bad stuff if you let it go. So are those concubines, especially if your wife finds out. :chainsaw:

Congratulations. You and your dad are really showing us how to hunt. I was counting on a lot more JHO guys to show up, and figured that they would all head for 10/13 and 13E. So, I went in the other direction towards 19 and got stuck in the river all day Saturday. Today, Monday, I returned with a U-Haul Auto Transport to pick up my drowned Cherokee, and there was a Company of Infantry walking the road in front of the check station. I had a feeling that we are lucky that they are allowing us to hunt there.

Are you driving the red cherokee? If that was you, I followed a red cherokee on Friday afternoon from Soledad after I gassed up all the way to FHL. I was driving a red 4runner with license plate REM3006.

The red cherokee was hunting with us in 10/13. I saw the vehicle a few times near the pond. Map posted a pic of his drowned cherokee in the naci and it was a white one.
