The hogs just won't leave the hog hole, at least not yet. This time we had my buddy and his mini-me in another truck behind our tail. We checked out two spots in the early AM and no hogs. Went out to the third spot and it was already 9:30am when we thought the hogs be singing good night sleep tight for the day. We parked on the side of the road watching the hillsides and about 400 yards of road straight out infront of us. At the same time we were discussing what to have for lunch. All of sudden we saw what looks like a giant black snake crossed the road 200 yards out and slithering uphill through the knee high grass. I threw up the bino and PIGS!!! They were on the move uphill fast. I know a road on the backside of the hill they were heading so I turned the truck around and headed around to get up above them. We got to the saddle where I suspected them to cross. No hog in sight but we all bailed out and got ready just incase. Several minutes gone by and still no sight or sound of hogs. Mini-me started to walk up a small hill to get on higher ground and I thought we had lost them. I slowly walked the road looking for tracks to see if they had crossed. All of sudden BANG! from mini-me's position. I turned to look at him and he was aiming across a small canyon. I looked at the hillside and hogs scattered. Most went up hill and disappeared in the thick stuff. Two hogs turned downhill and head right towards my buddy and his mini-me. We heard a couple BANGS! from them and all went silence. Turned out one hog dropped in its track from my mini-me's shot and the two that ran towards my buddy and his mini-me all went down too. We drug all three in a pile and snap some photos.
