L2h,
I didn't see you at leggitt at new Years hunt. I were in the back. Met a few JHO's.[/b]

I was in campsite #17. Met Jesse and wtpops at the line to the regisration window. I and my son was walking back to catch our ride after an evening hunt and I stopped hntboar's jeep hoping to meet him, but it was one of his buddy driving it. Ran into Jesse and Westy a couple times in the field. I was keeping an eye out for a black chevy truck but there were too many of them there.

L2H,
I use the black chevy to two my camper, I hunt out of a green toyota tacoma with camper and winch up front. The back window of the camper shell has a sticker GRIM REAPER BROADHEADS * Retired Army
I'm gonna be a leggit next weekend camped in the back left corner if still available. But this time I'll be hunting out of the black chevy. Great flat spot for tents.

Bret, experience and a little age will tell you.. shooting a small pig is better than shooting a monster when you're three miles from the vehicle with two major canyons to climb in and out of.

I have been the fair and seen the bear.

I have the Carbine version. The barrel is shorter (18.5") and the shooter will notice it being louder than the normal 22" barrel. I think it's the same thing with every gun. The shorter the barrel, the louder the BANG will be noticed by the shooter.

My freezer is 65"L x 27"W x 34"H. There's not very much left in the freezer. As you can see all of my "Says Who?" posts, it's not just me in the hunts alone except part VI. If I or anyone in the party killed an animal, the meat get divided equally to everyone. So out of all those pigs I've killed so far, I only got my equal portions of them. Even the two I killed in part VI, I gave away a few pounds here and there to families and relatives. There's about half a pig left from those two.

L2H, I sent you an email. I wanted to ask you a couple of questions on the techniques you use for hunting public land pigs.

You are the public land pig guru!!!

Thanks

Speck,
That reply you sent to Bret about the "small pig/monster" concept....pretty much applies to "Anything" twice your own body weight or larger, right? :) That nice Sow you helped me load in the truck when we were hunting this past Spring, would've taken a whole lot longer, had that open ground been harder to reach by vehicle! And did I remember to Thank You for that by-the-way? :) Yup, I believe I did, mebbe eight or nine times...jest on the way back to camp!
