SB89, the Ferret Amnesty bill cleared the California State Senate yesterday. The disenting votes (5 of them) were by Liberal Democrats such as Sen Burton. The bill goes to the Assembly Parks committee and then onto appropriations and finally onto the full Assembly. The bill has been amended numerous times to meet the concerns of DFG yet they still are holding out against the Bill. Truth be knwon DFG isn't willing to work with ferret enthusiast, they maintain the California Uber Alles approach to RULING California's population. Everyone is wrong except California, from our domestic pet laws to our gun laws we are not the norm.
