Hey All,
Sorry for the redundancy, your help is appreciated. My budget for a new scope for my pig gun (Howa 1500 30.06) is $300.00. I've got it narrowed down to the following: Luepold VX-II (not the VX-III) for $299.99 (I like their reputation and service but more than a few think they get an extra 10-15% off their name); Bushnell Elite 3200 (the 4200 is over 4 hundred) for $204.95 (i like their "Rainguard" innovation); Weaver Grand Slam or Classic V/6 for $276.99 and $289.99 (they say that they are waterproof, fogproof and shockproof and they seem to be the best value). The Zeiss conquest was also over four hundred. Ok fellas any advice/comments/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know anything about the Weaver scopes ( the old ones were good) but the others you mentioned were all good picks. The only one you left out was Nikon. You ought to go to a shop like Turner's who has a selection of scopes and look through them. Spy a dark corner of the store, see what's brightest, and what you like best.
