a friend of mine who owns a ranch in parkfiel called me yester day and asked when i was gonna come shoot the hogs that were getting in his barn. so yesterday evening i drive over the hill to his house and set up in side his pole barn. about 7:00 pm i get up to stretch and i look up on the hill and here come 2 hogs about 400 yards out. so i sit down and get ready. they start coming down the hill and stopp about 20 yards from the pole barn. so i opened fire on the back on first the i got a good 35 yard running shot on the second. both dropped in sight. so i get up and go look at my harvest. 2 sows one weighing 175lbs and one weighing 150 lbs. so i drag them out of the field over to the truck and load them up. my buddy comes over to look at them so we stand their and bs for acouple of minutes and i return to the barn to get the rest of my gear. i picked up my gear and start walking out of the barn when i look back at the hill. and here comes a lone hog by him self. so i hurry back in to the barn and get settled into my hay bale blind. the hog comes down the same trail as the other too. when he gets to where i had dragged one of the sows out he stops. he was facing me at 30 yards so i settles the cross hairs where the neck meets the body and cut loose with the 250 savage. he spins and runs back up the hill and falls about 50 yards fropm where i had shot him. when i went up and got him was quit pleased to find out he was 200 lbs and upon field dressing i found out that i had destroyed the lungs. i recoverd the 100 grain core lokt on the off side just under the hide. i do have a pic but cant figure out how to post it.
