No problem, OneTrack... you can sell that customized Weatherby. I'm sure that'll fetch enough to offset the cost of that little ol' piggy.

$400 to the first taker. Bring it on.

Man, I was sure wishing that you guys were there. We were havin' too much fun. I swear, we were running on serious adrenaline not 20 minutes after leaving the paved road. That was at 11am! It was nutty. I'd tell Nate, "this is a good area" and BAM, pigs everywhere.

Not having been there in December, I was real surprised at the grass, "annual grass" that is. There was about an inch of new green grass, and about six inches of dead stuff. Pretty cool. It was like a golf course. I'm accustomed to seeing that stuff at 18 inches. I'm signing up early next year.

That has GOT to be One Tracks longest post ever............DWP, your writing skills are obviously catching........

Nice hunt, Gentlemen. Congratulations on some fine critters!! And super nice chompers on your hog, Brent, way to go! If your ears were burning on Saturday, it might've been 'cause I was talking about you guys and your hunt while we were chasing birdies this weekend with a couple Border Patrol agents, hoping you'd do good and kinda wishin I had been up in Tejon with ya. And Brent, not-to-worry about that boar being a little tough, it's just the way it is. Even a 250 lb. sow is a bit chewy, or so I've found. Just another reason to weigh the pigs in before you shoot, lol..........

Mighty fine weekend, congrats again, boys!!

QBN, the PORs are still running $400. If you're interested, check out the JHO POR in May. It's not cheap, but it is a pretty good deal, considering the costs of hog hunts these days.

Brent and Nate, once again.. great job! I'm jealous.

Thanks guys!!!

$400 buys a lot of bread. Hard to swallow. But, compared to guided hunts, it's a deal. I'd rather do a self-guided hunt anyways. And, you get to spend 2 1/2 days on the ranch. That's worth the price of admission in itself.

OoH, Aah! Nice job guys!!!
You guys probably spent more time driving and setting up than hunting.

Take the good luck when you can.

Great job once again.

Anyone that has not been to a JHO event, do your self a favor, and go at least once.
It's neat to put faces and voices to the crazies on here.
Good group of folks to boot.

G: You're so right. We didn't even get to set up and glass for more than about 15 minutes. I wasn't used to seeing so many hogs from the road. I actually felt a little cheated, not spending more time in the field, hunting hard, and glassing up deer, elk and hogs. I'm not complaining though. There were so many great areas that we never made it to. I wanted to show Nate some of my hot spots. Places where I hike a mile to glass from a vantage point. It was just one of those slam dunk hunts. I guess we are all entitled to a few of those every decade or so.

Congrats guys, sounds like the piggies were willing to work with ya'll, I have probably read a hundred other accounts of the POR's, never have I read one like this one, again congrats.

I think that skull would look good mounted on your hood, or maybe even on the roof with a few redneck horns to announce your presence.
