Thinking about selling off everything except my top 10 sheds. I have a buyer but I would like to get some tips before I am taken to the cleaners. What can I expect to get out of a collection of about 125 sheds that were found within 3 weeks of being dropped. In other words, great condition. I have a lot of nice 4 and 5 pt sides plus several small 4-5 basket rack sides. I would assume I sell each shed individually instead of saying give me $10 a pound?

Please give me some info on what I can expect to get for my long hours of finding these.

Thanks

You will get more for them if you sell them individually or in small groups. The only problem is that it takes a lot more time and effort.

Selling in large groups you'll get rid of them quicker but may not get as much for them.

What I would suggest is selling the best ones one at a time. Then put some of the smaller ones in groups and sell that way.

Good luck!

I agree with Predator 1,sell seperate or in small groups.Go on E-Bay to get a few ideas on selling and what antlers are selling for.

I have sold twice in large group's..................The first time was to a collector,I made some great coin
<

The last time to a Taxidermy,he payed by the pound,I think it was $6.50 a pound then.but that was just for the great lookin' stuff, you also have #2 grade and #3 grade,so the price fall's fast..................
Yes try to sell in small group's.............But let me ask you one thing,do you really need to sell those horn's or just lost interest?
I was told to never sell my horn's,because in the near future the prices are going to go through the roof!!!!!!!!!
<

I'm on my third collection and will keep everything I have.......There not in the way and I have no need to sell them.
Also if you must sell them, try a furniture maker too, alot of stuff being made out of horn's anymore. And "Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop"......................

The offer came last night, she offered basically $10 a pound, $700 for what I was willing to sell, I told her these 12 aren't for sale and she offered $2200 for the whole collection. I just looked at those monster sheds and said, I can't part with them, they are just too great of a find. In that 70 pounds there are a lot of nice sheds so I just thought I wasn't getting a good deal selling them in bulk.

So I still have the collection as of today.

Proud to hear you didn't sell them. I've got a pile, and I mean a pile of sheds. Sure I've thought about selling some of them, but when I think about all the time spent, the miles walked; it's just not worth selling them.
